PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya Ambikapur is one of the best schools in the city Ambikapur and in the District of Surguja, Chhattisgarh. The Vidyalaya came into existence in February 1987. Initially it was started and run in the Multipurpose school hostel building, Ambikapur from classes 1-5th with six teaching staff and three Sub- staff members. When new school building was ready it was shifted to the new building in March 1998. This ideal Centre of education is a unit of an effective and well-knit organization of “Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan”, under Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India. Owing to its good education and well qualified and learned faculty members it is one of the leading schools in this area.
At present Vidyalaya is running two sections with commerce and science stream. It is affiliated with CBSE Board and its affiliation No. is 3300013 and school code is 19025. The Vidyalaya is situated on MG Road Ajirma, Raghavpuri, at the outskirt of Ambikapur town near Railway station which is hardly a Kilometer distance. Vidyalaya campus is lush with green trees which evokes the inhabitance of God Almighty and gives the sense of perfect harmony with nature.
